Congratulations to our graduates!

When pandemic regulations loosened this past June, we took the opportunity to hold an in-person graduation ceremony for its Kirikian Armenian School. While the 2020-21 school year had been taught remotely by the teaching staff—with the students successfully completing all their course requirements—the live ceremony for Kirikian’s graduating 7th graders and Kindergarteners was eagerly anticipated by all involved. Since the school had been unable to hold commencement exercises last year, the graduating class of 2020 was also invited to participate in the ceremonies, along with parents, teachers, school principal Ani Capan, and parish pastor Fr. Papken Anoushian.

We thank you all for your hard work this year.

Due to the school closing, we were not able to have our regular graduation ceremony at the end of the school year to celebrate the hard work of our precious graduates. With God’s help we all finished the school year successfully and we are confident that every student is qualified now to go to the next level.

This year we celebrated Graduation and Hantes on June 9, 2019. It was God’s miracle that with the help of our parents and teachers this little heaven in the Kirikian Armenian School was created for our children where once a week Armenian children are able to meet, spend time together, sing, dance and play while expanding their knowledge of the Armenian culture and faith of the Armenian Church.

"We all have our moments, when we reflect upon our time here, and mine was just yesterday during that Hayr Mer. Knowing it was my last time there as a student, I thought about how this place serves as somewhere to come together as a community and unite as Armenians. So, again, we are so honored to be here graduating and, as the class of 2016, thank the school for everything it has done for us."

This year the annual hantes at Kirikian Armenian School was like none other. Not only did it mark the school’s end-of-the-year cultural program, but it was also a time to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the school and to pay tribute to its historic past.
